The Cat in the Hat is the central character from the Dr. Seuss books, he also serves as the company logo, appearing on many Seuss emblems, etc. Cat in the Hat also narrated many of the Seuss cartoons and starred in a few. He is often remarked as Seuss' most well known and famous character.
Cat also was the star in the television show, The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss a show about all of the Dr. Seuss character as puppets made by the Jim Henson Company. A movie about The Cat in the Hat was also made in November of 2002.

The Cat is a tall, mischievous cat with black fur, white fur face and chest/stomach (his chest/stomach fur was black in The Cat in the Hat (TV special) and Dr. Seuss on the Loose) and dark gray in The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat), black nose (his nose was white in The Cat in the Hat (TV Special), Dr. Seuss on the Loose, and The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat), pink inner ears (his inner ears were black in The Cat in the Hat (book) and dark gray in The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat), wearing a tall, red and white striped hat, white gloves and red bow tie.
