A baffled child awakens one morning to find everything's out of place, but no one seems to notice, except himself (thus it can be assumed that he is the only one who can see these occurrences)! Beginning readers will have fun discovering all the wacky things wrong on each page while sharpening their ability to observe, as well as to read.

- A turtle (who doesn’t appear to be Yertle is in a tree.

- The “for sale” sign is spelt wrong; first it spells “fur sale” and then “four sale”.
- There are tigers in George Washington School.
- The word school is spelt “schoul”.
- The stars and stripes of the American flag have switched places.
- A shoe on top of the American flag.
- Part of the American flag is missing.
- Miss Bass, the teacher, wears roller skates.
- One of the Sutherland sisters is standing on a student.
- The student has no seat.
- A student is sitting backwards.

- A picture of Abraham Lincoln is mislabeled as “George Washington”.
