Dartmouth Jack-O-Lantern is a humor magazine founded at Dartmouth College in 1908. Young Theodor Geisel was a contributor to the magazine during his time at the college first under Norman George who hired him for the staff after laughing at a drawing of a slim woman, he dubbed "The Fatted Calf", that the future Dr. Seuss, drew in a magazine at the Campus Store.

Geisel became editor after the pervious editor, Norman Maclean (a famous author in his own right) graduated. He started signing work under the name "Seuss" , after he was banned from participating in college activities after violating prohibition.
