Camels are animals that appear in "The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That".

Camels are animals with humps. The shaggy Bactrian camel has two humps. The dromedary has only one hump.

In Real Life

Camel humps aren't really filled with water. The hump stores fat for energy when they walk in the hot desert. Camels are disgusting; they burp, spit, and blow their nose. A camel can drink a full bathtub of water in a single gulp and eat several pounds of plants when it gets really hungry and thirsty. Camels are sometimes domesticated, which means working for humans and carrying loads of goods.

Llamas do not have humps like camels, and they're domesticated. Alpacas are domesticated, too. Both of those camelids are domesticated for their wool. Vicunas and guanacos are wild camelids.
